Hello, My name is Mr. Ivan Long!
There is excitment in the air my third year here at Richland Middle School. We are experiencing transformation and innovation. We are on the cutting edge of education. This is an exciting time to be a RAM!
I am thrilled about the opportuinty to move from the English Department to the Math Department. This is a big change and new direction in my academic life. I am truly looking forward to making a impact on our students and staff in the Math Department.
At the top of this page you will find information to obtain updated lesson plans and assignments for your child in my classes.  I am excited about the opportunity to work with your student in the inclusion setting. In a class with two teachers all children can benefit from the  opportunity of  differentiated learning. In these classes my co-teacher and I have high expectations of our students, causing them to rise to the challenge. They are able to accomplish  thier academic goals, because each child is in a safe and comfortable learning environment with highly, engaging lessons.

  About myself:

I have a degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas. I graduated high school  from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. I have two children. My son lives in Bellevue, Washington and my daughter graduated from  Texas Christian University in June of 2012. She is currently teaching  English in Barcelona, Spain. I value family, enjoy travel, and enjoy my daily challenge of engaging our students  through  my love of  teaching.

I look forward to the opportunity of teaching your child this year.
