On Monday, April 25th, Sarah Culler was awarded a grant from the Birdville Education Foundation. Ms. Culler's grant was written for math supplies and enhancement activities that will provide opportunities to continue learning through games. These games will encourage team spirit, peer interaction and friendly competition. Along with providing direct instruction and specific TEKS activities, a mathematical game library that students can choose from will improve and enhance mathematical support for our students.
BISD is conducting a survey of campus staff, students in grades 3–8, and parents, April 18 - May 6. The purpose of the survey is to gain insight on the impact of technology use both inside and outside of the classroom. In order to better understand how digital learning is impacting student learning experiences, the District is committed to selecting appropriate digital resources, at the right cost, in order to best utilize existing technology resources.
Students do not need to complete this survey at home. They will complete the survey at school.
If the weather requires Rainy Day Dismissal, the Snow Heights school community will be notified using Facebook, and Remind. Once a parent / guardian arrives on the campus, they will go the their students' homeroom classroom. The parent / guardian will sign the student out there. For families with siblings, the oldest sibling will go to the youngest sibling's classroom and the student(s) can be signed out there.
