Paulina Perez, Attendance Clerk
School begins at 8:40 a.m. If your student is not in class by that time, it could result in disciplinary action.
Please call on the day of an absence to report it as excused. If your student has been out sick, please have the student bring a note from home, or the doctor, stating the illness or reason for absence.
If your student is absent more than 18 days a school year, the student will need to make-up time before or after school. The district is now required to file a case with the proper court if your student accumulates 10 or more unexcused absences within a six month period.
If your student is new to BISD, you will need proof of address, birth certificate, social security card, withdrawal grades or last report card, and current shot records to register.
If you are moving, please come by the attendance office and get withdrawal papers and final grades to take to the new school.
IMPORTANT-Please keep phone numbers current, so we may contact you.
