Hello David E. Smith Community, Hello Eagles! I hope you and your families had a wonderful Spring Break. Only 10 weeks until summer. We have a busy Spring semester at DES! STAAR testing for grades 3-5 begins the first week of April. Please check our home page for important information for the rest of the year! A little about me! This year is my 13th year in education. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. All 13 years have been in Birdville ISD at Foster Village and The Academy at West Birdville. I grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have a Master's Degree in Education Administration. This is my fourth year as Assistant Principal at Foster Village Elementary and my second year as Assistant Principal at David E Smith! I am very excited to be an eagle!
