The Cosmetology program at Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning is a state licensed facility. Texas Department of Licenses and Regulations ( TDLR) requires all students to complete 1500 hours of instruction to obtain their license. By taking the cosmetology program in high school the state allowes 500 academic hours for graduating from High School and 1000 actual clock hours. All phases of beauty culture are covered in theory and practical applications. Upon completion of their hours they will take the written examination and when they pass the written they take the practical examination. When both portions of the exam are passed they will receive their Cosmetology License while enrolled in High School.
Every second Monday of the month we have Salon Night from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm where the students service clients. The services we offer are: haircuts, color, highlights, manicures, pedicures, and facials.
Thursday from 2:00 pm till 3:30 pm are available hours clients can also make an appointment for services.
