One of the real delights about working here at Shannon is the daily contact with a staff comprised of top quality professionals. Their concern and love for our students is evident everywhere you look - from the classrooms, to the hallways, to the lunchroom, to the parking lot - you see staff interacting with students. Encouraging, tutoring, laughing, sharing, building relationships.
What many do not see is the amount of hard work and professionalism that takes place "behind the scenes". One clear example is the staff's involvement in professional learning.
I am constantly impressed with the staff's focus and involvement when we meet for professional sharing. Input is always of the highest quality. It is also rewarding to know that any of the staff could present sessions on a variety of topics. Here are some pictures from our last meeting in which Brent Cumbie and Kerrie Bourland trained staff on the use of the Gallup Strengths Finder.
