The third grade students learned high Do in the song, "Little Liza Jane". We then applied Orff Instruments and made an accompaniment to the song.
Students learned about Joseph Haydn and "The Surprise Symphony". They then applied the rhythms of the music to instruments.
Students studied American Composer Leroy Anderson and the song, "The Synocopated Clock". New terms learned were stacatto and legato. The form of this song was ABACA. We then used scarves and moved to the different sections of the music.
First graders applied movements with scarves to "The Syncopated Clock" by Leroy Anderson.
