What an honor and a privilege it is to be working with the students of Birdville High School. I will be teaching Algebra II this year. I am also the boys basketball coach. I have been blessed to work in education for 29 years. As a graduate of UT Arlington, I began my career at North Richland Junior High. After two years I moved to Trinity High School, my alma mater, where I worked as a math teacher and assistant basketball coach for seven years. My first head coaching opportunity was at Godley High School in Godley, TX. During my seven years at Godley I worked as head basketball coach, girls track coach, and boys cross country coach, in addition to teaching Algebra I and Algebra II. When Birdville High School opened in 1999 I was blessed to be selected as the first boys basketball coach. It is hard to believe we have already been here 13 years! My beautiful wife, Chrissy, is an art teacher at Keller Timber Creek High School. I have a 15 year old son, Matthew, who is a 10th grader at here at BHS and a 13 year old daughter, Hannah, who is an 8th grader at Smithfield Middle School. I am looking forward to an exciting year at BHS. GO HAWKS!!!
