Our department celebrates the diversity of all students enrolled in Birdville ISD and strongly embraces BISD’s goal of “Learning for All – Whatever it takes.” We meet each student wherever they may be – whether the student has special learning needs, enters school speaking a language other than English, or has other specialized learning requirements.
Our mission statement, “… to provide and support customized educational opportunities for students, staff and families,” indicates our desire to be a service-oriented department. Our aim is to provide support to enable BISD teachers and staff with the skills required to achieve student success.
Please feel free to contact anyone in our department to assist you.
During the 2011-12 school year, Birdville ISD will administer the following federal programs to students that live within district boundaries.
· Title I, Part A (Improving Basic Programs)
· Title II, Part A (Teacher and Principal Training and Recruitment Fund)
· Title III (Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient and Immigrant Students)
· IDEA-B (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)
