Daniel Flores Daniel Flores, a product of New Mexico music education and a graduate of Texas Christian University, where he studied with Dr. Ruth Whitlock and Ronald Shirey. He spent the first ten years of his career at Haltom Middle School in the Birdville Independent School District. During his tenure at Haltom Middle, the choral program grew from 50 students to over 350 singers. Under Mr. Flores’ direction, the program earned its first UIL Sweepstakes rating in over 20 years, and consistently earned Sweepstakes ratings at UIL.
Daniel is in his sixth year at Smithfield Middle School, where he directs the Sixth Grade Boys Choir, the Tenor-Bass Choir, and assists with the Varsity Treble Choir, Sixth Grade Girls Choir and the Concert Treble Choir.
He is a member of TMEA and TCDA.
