The CARE Team includes the student's teacher, school counselor, administrator, classroom teachers and parent. The CARE team coordinator is the school counselor.
The CARE Team is interested and invested in the success of students who are at risk. The job of the Care Team is to promote student success.
The team performs the following functions:
Serves as an information gathering team, collecting information and history concerning a particular student so the CARE team can make comprehensive, informed decisions and intervene more effectively.
Provides interventions to teachers and parents concerning student issues.
Serves as a resource, communicating information about various programs on campus. The CARE team is the first step in the referral process to programs.
