Let me tell you a bit about myself. I have been teaching most of my adult life in various contexts. Although I grew up in Springfield, IL, I went to college at Harding University in North-Central Arkansas where I received my BA. I continued my education here in Texas at Abilene Christian University where I received my MA. I met my lovely wife, Brenda, there and my first child was born a Texan! A year later we moved to East Africa where both of our daughters were born. After 15 years in Kenya and Uganda we returned to the USA in 2002.

      My passions include my faith, family, time with friends and teaching fourth graders. I also love walking, jogging, playing the guitar and travel. I am proud to teach at Watauga Elementary School for my fifth year with this awesome group of fourth graders!
