My name is Samantha Ptacek (LaHue) and this is my 9th year teaching and all 9 of those years have been at Holiday Heights Elementary!
I graduated from Tarleton State University with my Bachelor's degree in Education and from The University of North Texas with my Master's degree in Instructional Technology.
This year is going to be a big year for me because I am moving up to 5th grade! I got married at the end of October! When I am not finding wonderful new ways to teach math concepts, I like to spend time with my amazing family and husband. I also love to workout, scrapbook, and relax with a good book!! Finally, I adore anything pink and especially PIGS!!
I teach all of the Math classes in 5th grade. I absolutely LOVE math and am super excited that I am getting to continue teaching math to all of my wonderful students from last year. One of the most important things in math is remembering what was learned the year before, so hopefully we can all remember together and have a GREAT year!!
