I feel so lucky to be here at Birdville Elementary. Our fantastic staff and the wonderful students and families that I see, and work with, each day make it so rewarding to come to school. It also does not hurt that I have the BESt students in Second Grade!!
This is my second year to teach second grade and my fourth year overall. I also did my student teaching here at BES, so it truly does feel like home to me.
I am a product of the Birdville Independent School District. After graduating from Haltom High School (Go Buffs!) I attended Texas Christian University. I took some time off from school to marry my wonderful husband, Charles, and have my two fantastic boys, Truitt (now in 4th grade) and Lewis (now in 2nd grade). I found my way back to college at Texas Woman's University and finally graduated in May of 2006. I began my teaching career here at BES (Go Li'l Buffs!) in August of 2006 and have loved it ever since!
As a parent myself, I do know what a sacrifice each of you are making every day as parents. You have placed your trust and faith in me to guide your child to do their best and to develop a love of learning. I take this job very seriously and appreciate you for sharing your child with me.
